Fact: Just because a person can do something does not mean they are qualified to teach others to perform the same task. Many individuals believe that by watching video tapes or by participating in related activities gives them the inherent ability to teach.
Welcome to Tracy's Karate Studios and our Aerobic Kickboxing Program. On the evening of January 19, 1970 the face of martial arts was changed The Team Captain of the Tracy's West Coast Competition team, Mr. Joe Lewis, fought Mr. Greg "O.M." Baines for the First Karate-Kickboxing Heavyweight Championship of the World. Mr. Lewis won the Title and continued to win over 30 titles in the Karate World, and also became the "World's Greatest Karate Fighter of All Times." Today Tracy's Karate Studios continues this tradition by providing these classes in Aerobic Kickboxing. Please pass the word on to your friends so that they may join and enjoy membership on our team. The new schedule for all classes are available in the office. Any later seminars and special programs which involve weapons and self defense training will be open to all studio students.
Your first couple of times in this new class will be a little awkward because of having to learn new movements; however, the results are more than worth it. You may tire easily at first; however, after a few weeks, you will be amazed at how quickly you adjust and you'll get much stronger!
For those of you who have not been or do not know what it is, it is a mixture of Karate and Aerobics. It is a system of exercise that is designed to promote the supply and use of oxygen in the body, as well as develop basic karate movements. It will increase your endurance, your energy level, help to train you in basic kicks, blocks and punches, and help you burn fat so you can achieve and maintain proper weight!
A High Energy Martial Arts Aerobic Workout
Aerobic Kickboxing helps your body to utilize large amounts of oxygen efficiently. The presence of oxygen in muscle cells is necessary for the formation of a compound called adenosine triphosphate (ATP for short). The breakdown of ATP produces energy for the body. If the circulatory system can not supply enough oxygen to the muscles or if the muscles can not use oxygen properly, the body produces smaller amounts of ATP. This results in early fatigue. Regular attendance of Aerobic Kickboxing will enable a person to more comfortably perform activities that he or she would like to enjoy more. As with other cardiovascular activities, Aerobic Kickboxing on a regular basis can help reduce the risk of coronary artery disease, the most common form of heart disease.
